Job Summary
The Safety Manager is responsible for all aspects of safety. The Safety Manager develops, establishes, and oversees a safe, accident free and healthy working environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant federal, state, local and company policies, procedures and regulations regarding the safe operation of the fleet
- Ensuring that safety inspections are properly scheduled, carried out, monitored, acted upon and documented
- Preparing reports documenting safety and training performance as required by client and company procedures
- Supervising “on-the-road” safety efforts
- Acting as a representative at external safety meetings and committees
- Reviewing and analyzing data relating to accidents, injuries, and illnesses
- Administering the company’s safety program
